Procurement

At NIE Networks, we spend in the region of £100m annually with suppliers on the development and maintenance of our asset base and the delivery of day to day operations. The procurement department has responsibility for an extensive portfolio of supplies, works and services, ensuring that the best possible commercial and technical outcomes are delivered.

Our procurement procedures are in place to ensure the process complies with the principles of non-discrimination, equal treatment and transparency in dealing with suppliers. All of our Procurements are compliant with the Utilities Contracts Regulations 2016.

How To Become A Supplier

The Public Procurement Regulations 2020 requires a utility to advertise (or publish) details about contract opportunities over the thresholds in the Find a Tender service (FTS). At NIE Networks, we use the following routes for advertising these tender opportunities.
