​At Northern Ireland Electricity Networks (NIE Networks), we're responsible for the electricity network and equipment in Northern Ireland.

Electricity is critical to our modern lives but it must be treated carefully. All of our engineers and technicians that work close to electrical equipment have spent many years training and wear specialist clothing to stay safe.

Most electrical equipment is out of reach but sometimes people can get involved in activities that can put them at serious risk of injury or death.
