Power restoration efforts continue into the night

NIE Networks continues to restore electricity to customers following yesterday’s record wind speeds. Over 90,000 homes and businesses have had power restored.

NIE Network’s twelve Local Incident Centres will remain open into the night to clear as many faults as possible. Around 4,000 customers are currently without electricity. Although we expect this figure to reduce over the coming hours, there will be customers without electricity tomorrow.

Over 500 NIE Networks’ personnel and additional contractors are working to support restoration efforts and to keep customers up to date with progress. These efforts will continue until everyone has power restored.

Customers can continue to contact us online and over the phone.
