Engineering teams redeployed into worst hit areas

NIE Networks has this morning moved its emergency teams from Northern areas to Mid Ulster and the South East areas. This is where the highest concentration of properties remain without electricity.

NIE Networks has restored electricity supplies to over 90,000 customers since Storm Ali hit on Wednesday. Around 1,900 properties are without power.

Over 500 employees are working on restoration efforts for the remaining 600 network faults that are still to be fixed. The majority of these faults are affecting either small pockets of customers or are in isolated areas.

NIE Networks is reminding customers to never approach broken lines or damaged poles, and keep children and animals away - report damage to NIE Networks on ‪03457 643 643 and listen to recorded messages carefully
