Wayleave payments are intended to reflect the type of equipment and impact on the land. The landowner (or grantor) will be paid annually in arrears and the payment will be for rent (pay rate 1) or rent and compensation (pay rate 2).  Compensation will only be paid if the equipment is deemed to interfere with agricultural operations; such as the time loss, area loss, yield loss and weed control.

NIE Networks reviews the Wayleave Payments annually with due consideration to our Price Control Allowances set by the Utility Regulator.
