Driving the future
The way we see it, if you’re going to build an electric car, why not do it with some style?
Queen's University Belfast, has purchased an iconic DeLorean car. The project, sponsored by Northern Ireland Electricity Networks (NIE Networks), will provide students with a practical project to learn about electric vehicle technology and new 'smart' electric technologies.
- The car is powered by 84 batteries.
- It can reach a top speed of 125mph.
- This project helps prove that anything is possible
with electrical engineering.
Check out this video that shows how the students converted the DeLorean.
