How to report a power cut

In the event of a power cut please contact our customer helpline 03457 643 643. Our customer service team is ready to help and answer any questions you may have. The helpline is open 24 hours to report a loss of electricity supply.

If you are a customer on our critical care register we will keep in contact with you or your nominated carer.

You can register online for critical care or contact our customer helpline on 03457 643 643.

Before you contact us

  • Are your trip switches in the ON position? Sometimes when the electricity goes off it is due to a problem with the electrics inside your home. Before reporting a power cut you should reset your trip switches (ie. turn them off and back on again). You may have more than one trip switch in your property.
  • Are your neighbours without electricity? Sometimes power cuts affect individual homes or businesses but they are more likely to affect a number of properties. If a power cut only affects one property we may contact you before dispatching an engineer.
  • Pre-pay meter customers - is there credit in your meter? If you pay for your electricity as you go, you should make sure that there is credit in your meter before reporting a power cut. If you have run out of credit, your electricity will switch off.
